Sprint Driveline Components

MPD Racing offers Driveline Components from the rear end to the motor. All pieces are made of the finest aircraft quality materials; magnesium and aluminum.

Our driveshafts are available in various lenghts in both hollow or solid styles. They are splined 1-1/4" - 10 and 1-3/8" - 16. A protective driveshaft tube is provided with each MPD Driveshaft at no extra charge.  Our steel Driveshafts are made out of aircraft-grade alloy material and are heat treated to close tolerances to ensure the highest possible durability.  Hollow driveshafts are precision gun-drilled and honed to achieve maximum strength.



Aluminum Universal Joint Assemblies


MPD Aluminum U-Joint Assemblies are made of 7075-T651. All U-Joints are supplied complete with a Spicer 5-153X U-Joint cross. 1-3/8" - 16 splined Yoke, direct-mounting crank flange with fasteners. We also supply a light duty compression spring to minimize driveshaft movement. Spring is securely attached to yoke washer to aid in easy installation. U-Joints may be ordered plain or blue anodized.


Aluminum Anodized Torque Tubes

 

MPD Aluminum Anodized Torque Tubes are turned to a 3.0" OD and reamed to a 2.628" ID to ensure a 0.005 clearance fit between the torque ball and torque tube. All torque tube assemblies are supplied with an O-ring. The torque collars have been lightened with a ball mill to decrease weight.


Torque Balls


MPD Torque Balls are machined out of solid aluminum billet and are hard anodized.


Shifter


Our Clamp-On Shifter uses the same exceptional design as our positive lock weld-on shifter.  Machined out of 7075 aluminum our 2 piece design is the strongest and lightest on the market.  Replacing that old twist lock shifter has never been easier with no welding required.
