9/10/07 Joey Saldana Wins 54th Annual Gold Cup Race of Champions

Saldana swept Gold Cup and pocketed $50,000 riding on MPD Wheels.

Joey Saldana made a statement on Friday using the high side to charge from row six to win his preliminary feature.  On Saturday he led all forty laps to claim the $50,000 pay check.  The Kasey Kahne Racing team is hitting full stride as the season comes to a close.  Saldana trails World of Outlaw point leader Donny Schatz by less than 20 points
